rsudgemolong.com – Following its momentous victory as the 1st Place Winner and Excellence Award recipient for Corporate Social Responsibility at the 2025 PERSI (Indonesian Hospital Association) Awards, RSUD dr. Soeratno Gemolong (RSSG) is proud to officially represent Indonesia at the upcoming International Hospital Federation (IHF) Awards 2026. RSSG will present its transformative healthcare initiative: HEBAT (Homecare, Telemedicine, and Medicine Delivery).

HEBAT pioneers an innovative “Inverted Care Model”. Rather than waiting for impoverished, elderly, and disabled patients to endure arduous journeys to the hospital, the multidisciplinary medical team brings acute and post-acute care directly to their homes in remote rural areas.

A critical component of HEBAT is its highly scalable, cross-sectoral pooled financing architecture. The program’s operational costs are entirely subsidized through a collaborative ecosystem blending Hospital Operational Funds, BAZNAS (National Islamic Philanthropy Institution), and MATRA (Civil Servants’ Voluntary Solidarity Fund).

“We view HEBAT as a highly effective and targeted channel for social philanthropy. By supporting the operational costs for the underprivileged, we ensure vulnerable communities receive dignified healthcare rights,” stated the Chairman of BAZNAS Sragen.

Furthermore, a representative of MATRA Sragen added, “MATRA’s support is a tangible manifestation of mutual cooperation from the voluntary contributions of civil servants. This is humanitarian technology that we are proud to showcase globally.”

Through this initiative, RSSG has successfully reduced 30-day hospital readmissions among high-risk patients by 23% and completely eliminated out-of-pocket transportation costs. By bringing this achievement to the 2026 IHF Awards, RSSG aims to demonstrate that a decentralized public hospital in a lower-middle-income country can practically shift the healthcare paradigm from an “ability-to-pay” to an “ability-to-access” model.
